SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling lighting systems, in particular multi-channel lighting systems. Result is achieved in that the lighting control systems have light sources that are activated for the corresponding duration of the lighting in a repeating non-overlapping sequence. End of lighting duration for one light source is detected to initiate the inclusion of the next light source in the sequence.

EFFECT: technical result is to enable reduction of the size of driver circuits without affecting the performance of the system, as well as providing adjustable output characteristics, such as adjusting colour mixing and colour temperature.
