FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to reduce the formation of scars and the visible manifestations of healed wounds, keloids and hypertrophic scars in the skin of mammals. For this purpose bring collagen into contact, contained in the scar tissue or wound, with a composition containing a low molecular weight hydrophobically modified polymer. This polymer is obtained from the first monomer component, (meth)acrylic acid, and the second monomer component selected from one or more C1-C9 alkyl(meth)acrylates. Number average molecular weight of the low molecular weight copolymer is 100,000 or less. Polymer is present in the composition in an amount of from 0.1 % to 10 % weight compositions. This composition further comprises a permeability enhancer, which is alcohol.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the formation of scars, keloids and hypertrophic scars in the skin of mammals.
