FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing glass-filled polyphenylene sulfide-based composite materials, which can be used for the manufacture of parts for construction, electrical and general purposes of electrical products, automotive, aviation, special, engineering, household and other types of equipment. Method for producing a glass-filled polyphenylene sulfide composition comprises extrusion combination of polyphenylene sulfide, stabilizers and additives followed by the introduction of fiberglass into the melt, having temperature of 300–305 °C, through the loading area, providing the length of the extrusion alignment of the components of the composition from 35 to 70 % of the length of the extruder screws at a screw rotation speed of 150–250 rpm.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is obtaining glass-filled compositions based on polyphenylene sulfide, having a significantly lower coefficient of linear thermal expansion and a high level of properties that provide increased operational stability and service life of products of equipment intended for operation in a wide range of temperatures.
