SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISCONNECTING LIQUID CHAMBER Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61M16/16 A61M16/10 A61M16/14

Abstract RU 2674080 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. System for preventing damage to a fluid-containing therapeutic pressure-maintaining device with humidification comprises a pressure generator configured to generate a pressurized gas flow for delivery to the subject's respiratory tract and comprising an outlet for venting the flow of the respiratory gas under pressure from the pressure generator. Humidifier is configured to humidify the flow of the pressurized gas under pressure and comprises a humidifying chamber comprising a gas inlet and configured to retain a liquid that is designed to humidify the flow of the pressurized gas under pressure. Humidifying chamber defines the gas flow path between the gas inlet and the gas outlet. Gas inlet is configured to communicate fluidly with the outlet of the pressure generator. Lid is movable between an open and closed position to, respectively, secure and prevent access to the interior of the humidification chamber. Disconnect device is adapted, in response to opening the lid or overfilling the humidifying chamber by the user, disconnecting the gas inlet of the humidifying chamber from the outlet of the pressure generator and stopping fluid communication between them to prevent fluid from entering from the humidifying chamber into the pressure generator through the gas inlet of the humidifying chamber and the outlet of the pressure generator. Method for preventing damage to the therapeutic pressure maintaining device with humidification by a dispensing liquid is disclosed, which is realized by means of a system.

EFFECT: technical result is to prevent liquid from entering the pressure generator.
