FIELD: heating equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering, and can be used in the development of regenerative gas heaters (RGH) for wind tunnels. Regenerative gas heater contains a nozzle with a heat-accumulating element located in a casing gas-tight along the lateral surface, sealed in a housing at the gas outlet end. Heat-accumulating element is made in the form of one or several rolls, including one or several sections, the roll consists of a metal strip with holes located on its surface and with elements of distancing the roll layers from each other, the spacer elements are made in the form of tapes with either transverse corrugations or protrusions on their surfaces, with the tapes arranged between the layers of the roll at some distance from each other along the axis of the nozzle. Heat-accumulating element of the nozzle may consist of rolls of different diameters of the same length located inside the casing, the spaces between the outer surfaces of the rolls are filled with permeable porous media or from successive sections with different porosities, which increase in the direction of the gas outlet.
EFFECT: simplification of the heater design, its manufacturing and operation processes.
