FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new catalysts that can be used, in particular, for the processes of deep oxidation of CO, organic and organohalogen compounds, oxidation of sulfur dioxide, selective oxidation of hydrogen sulfide, reduction of nitrogen oxides and in many other catalytic reactions. Proposed catalyst for heterogeneous reactions is a geometrically structured system, including microfiber media with a diameter of 5–20 mcm, containing at least 50 wt.% SiO2, having a specific surface area measured by the BET method for thermal desorption of argon, in the SAr=0.5–30 m2/g range and containing at least one active ingredient on the outer surface of the microfibers of the carrier, carrier is characterized by the presence in the infrared spectrum of the absorption band of hydroxyl groups with a wavenumber ν=3,620–3,650 cm-1 with a half-width of at least 100 cm-1 and the size of the surface measured by the method of alkaline titration SNa=1–15 m2/g at ratio SNa/SAr less than 5.
EFFECT: technical result is to achieve high thermal stability of the catalyst for heterogeneous reactions.
