FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multi-electrode submerged arc welding method using a plurality of electrodes. For each electrode from the second to the n-th, with the exception of first electrode, which is the front electrode in the welding direction, where n is an integer equal to 2 or more, use a welding current source capable of adjusting the waveform of the welding current. During welding process, specified ratios between maximum value of electromagnetic force Fi are provided, acting on the arc column at the end of the wire of i-th electrode during welding, N/m and Fiave – average value of electromagnetic force Fi, N/m, and σFi – standard deviation of electromagnetic force Fi, N/m.
EFFECT: method for producing welded joint of steel sheets and welded joint has been proposed.
