FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for submerged-arc welding of parts of various thicknesses and can be used to obtain longitudinal and circumferential seams of the lock type on pipes of large diameter. It is carried out on parts with a greater projection thickness to form a tool joint, which ensures the formation of a welded joint without access from the side of the weld root. High blunting is performed on both parts, and chamfer is made in the upper part of the joint on both parts. Welding is carried out at an angle forward, and first the root seam is performed with penetration of the mentioned blunting, and then the filling seam. Welding of circumferential seams is carried out with a displacement of the welding head at the zenith at a distance of 40-60 mm.
EFFECT: method provides for the production of welded joints of parts of different thicknesses of high quality, strength and tightness.
