FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the welding of longitudinal welds formed cylindrical billet and can be used in the manufacture of steel welded pipes of large diameter with a wall thickness from 12 to 25 mm and above, up to 50 mm, with an outer cladding layer made of stainless steel grade, for example, 08X18H10T or 12X18H10T. Edges are cut with a bluntness value equal to 70 % of the pipe wall thickness without taking into account the thickness of the cladding layer, and the external bevel of the edges is 2–3 mm larger than the thickness of the cladding layer. Pipes assembled end to end with a gap of up to 1 mm. Apply electric arc with consumable electrode. Then apply a laser beam with a power sufficient to penetrate the metal with a thickness less than the size of the blunting, performing the working seam with the formation of a roller at the level of the cladding layer. Protective outer layer is applied to the working seam, and an inner seam is also performed.

EFFECT: technical result of the claimed invention is to minimize the proportion of the weld in relation to the base metal and the clad layer while maintaining the anticorrosive properties of the clad layer.
