SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an annular outer casing of a low pressure compressor of an axial-flow turbomachine. Casing comprises an annular wall of composite material with an organic base. Casing comprises an annular row of blades extending radially, wherein the blades comprise platforms attached to the annular wall. Casing also comprises a radial annular flange with mounting devices designed to enable the installation of the casing in a turbomachine. Annular flange is attached to the annular wall and defines the annular entrance region for the blade platforms. Annular flange is attached to the annular wall by pressing.
EFFECT: invention reduces the production cost of the casing and facilitates the transfer of forces between the annular flange and the blade platforms, which gives the advantage of reducing stresses in the annular wall.
