FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the induction heating of metal products, such as pipes, and can be used for local heating of pipelines to remove insulation for the purpose of subsequent repair of the pipeline. Device for induction heating contains a magnetic core composed of U-shaped and L-shaped ferromagnetic cores mounted on the inner lattice panel in the device body so that they form a closed channel in which the conductors are placed, the magnetic core has two parallel straight sections consisting of U-shaped cores, closed by two arcuate sections consisting of alternating U-shaped and L-shaped cores.
EFFECT: invention provides effective induction heating of arcuate sections of metal surfaces covered with insulation with increased efficiency.
