FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of bridge construction and can be used to strengthen the span structures of existing bridges. Method comprises heating the stiffener and corner bears, attaching the latter to the stiffener and the upper or lower belt of the beam, with the torsion bars fixed on the stiffeners by soldering, first soldering their lower part, then after cooling to 200–250 °C below the crystallization temperature of the solder, the upper part is soldered, and the short cores are joined to the upper or lower belts with high-strength bolts. Heating is carried out by a double-turn split inductor with a speed of 70–80 °C per second stiffener – up to 750–800 °C, corner stubby – up to 800–850 °C.

EFFECT: bending of the beam wall from side and eccentrically applied loads in the fillet zone of the stiffener is eliminated and the formation of cracks of the type T-9 and T-10 is prevented.
