ELECTRODE PLATFORM FOR ELECTROALGESIC STIMULATION OF ANIMALS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2675174 C1

FIELD: medicine; biology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biomedical engineering and can be used in physiological, biological, psycho-physiological, pharmacological experiments using laboratory animals in the study of memory processes, learning, decision making under normal and pathological conditions, and methods of influencing them. Electrode platform for electroalgesic stimulation of animals contains an electrode surface. Moreover, it is made of a dielectric sheet with applied contact electrodes of alternating polarity in the form of hemispheres and with an anti-corrosion coating, under which conductors are placed. Through holes are made around the circumference of each contact electrode, which do not allow liquid to accumulate on the surface and close the circuit.

EFFECT: invention provides an expansion of the arsenal of technical tools intended for electroalgesic stimulation, and modeling both simple “classical” forms of passive and active avoidance, and cognitively complex forms of behavior for different types of laboratory animals of small and medium sizes of all ages.
