SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine, in particular, to a method for normalizing the activity of erythrocyte superoxide dismutase in newborn calves with iron deficiency. Essence of the proposed method lies in the fact that 150 mg (2 ml) intramuscularly twice with an interval of 4 days are prescribed to calves, along with 5 mg/kg crezacine per day, starting simultaneously with the first injection of ferroglucin, including it in the feeding scheme for 4 days, and gamavit intramuscularly once a day in the morning 0.05 ml/kg for 4 days, starting simultaneously with ferroglucin and krezacin.

EFFECT: invention provides prevention of vascular complications and optimization of microcirculation and trophism of tissues in animals, improvement of livestock, reduction of mortality, acceleration of growth and development of calves, increase in weight gain in young animals.
