SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine, in particular to a method for normalizing the activity of neutrophil superoxide dismutase in newborn calves with iron deficiency. Essence of the proposed method lies in the fact that 150 mg (2 ml) ferroglucin intramuscularly are prescribed to calves, twice with an interval of 4 days, along with 5 mg/kg per day crezacine, starting simultaneously with the first injection of ferroglucin, including it in the feeding scheme for 4 days, and gamavit intramuscularly once a day in the morning 0.05 ml/kg for 4 days, starting simultaneously with ferroglucin and crezacine.

EFFECT: invention provides prevention of vascular complications and optimization of microcirculation and trophism of tissues in animals, improvement of livestock, reduction of mortality, acceleration of growth and development of calves, increase in weight gain in young animals.
