SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and may be used to eliminate low and medium level rectovaginal fistulas. Rectovaginal septum is cleaved by a blunt and sharp dissection proximally from a wound by a combined vaginal and rectal approach. Posterior wall of the vagina and the anterior wall of the rectum are mobilized. Font portions of the levator muscles are crossed. Platform for fixing relegated Y-shaped flap by dissection of the mucous membrane of the lower third of the vagina, vestibular skin, the mucous membrane of the rectal lower ampulla, the anoderm of the anal canal in a distal direction from the defect of the rectovaginal septum. Y-shaped flap is formed from a split rectovaginal septum in the shape of the formed areas. Y-shaped flap of the rectovaginal septum is relegated with its fixation to the anal sphincter and in the area of the previously formed areas edge to edge without tension by separate sutures.

EFFECT: method allows to ensure sufficient tension of the relegated flap, to reduce the risk of complications from surgeries.
