FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ultrasonic technological systems for various purposes and can be used to create ultrasonic electrodes with a high service life. Alloy based on titanium for ultrasonic waveguides contains, by weight, %: aluminum 5.8–8.0, molybdenum 2.8–3.8, zirconium 0.6–0.9, silicon 0.20–0.40, iron ≤0.3, oxygen ≤0.15, carbon ≤0.1, hydrogen ≤0.015, nitrogen ≤0.05, titanium – the rest. At the same time, it has a uniform, finely dispersed microstructure with a grain size of 0.5–5.0 microns, containing equiaxial α-phase in the amount of 40–80 % in the transformed β-matrix without continuous network α-phases at borders β grains. Ultrafrequency range of the waveguide is expanding to higher frequencies.
EFFECT: increases the safety of the ultrasonic waveguides and the quality of work performed by ultrasonic electrodes, which have an increased resource in the high-frequency range.
