FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely, a titanium-based alloy for manufacturing waveguides of high-amplitude acoustic systems. Alloy based on titanium for the production of waveguides of high-amplitude acoustic systems contains, by mass %: aluminum 5.8–8.0, molybdenum 2.8–3.8, zirconium 2.1–3.0, silicon 0.20–0.40, iron ≤ 0.3, oxygen ≤ 0.15, carbon ≤ 0.1, hydrogen ≤ 0.015, nitrogen ≤ 0.05, titanium – the rest, while it has a uniform, fine-dispersed microstructure with a grain size (0.5–5.0) mcm, containing an equiaxed α-phase in the amount (40–80)% in the transformed β-matrix without a continuous grid α-phase at the boundaries β grains.
EFFECT: ultra-frequency range of the waveguide operation in the region of higher frequencies is widened, and the safety of the operation of ultrasonic waveguides is increased.
