FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention generally relates to the hydrocarbon feedstock atomizing process. In particular, the present invention relates to the heavy hydrocarbons flow atomizing device. Disclosed are the hydrocarbons flow mixing and atomizing device and method. Device comprises internal branch pipe with the first inlet opening for the hydrocarbons flow reception and the second inlet opening for the primary dispersing flow reception. In the internal branch pipe a primary mixture is formed, containing the hydrocarbons flow and the primary dispersing flow. Device also includes the external branch pipe with the third inlet opening for the secondary dispersing flow reception. In addition, the said internal and external branch pipes together define the annular channel. Annular channel far end defines the second set of openings to enable the secondary dispersing flow flowing through them so that the flow was coming in contact with the primary mixture, and, at that, dispersing the so produced secondary mixture, through the outlet opening.

EFFECT: invention effectively atomizes the highly viscous hydrocarbon feedstock into fine droplets, making it easier to maintain the sufficient pressure drop across all sections, which ensures the hydrocarbons viscous flow complete mixing, as well as during the atomized hydrocarbons flow supply into the reactor.
