SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reactors for exothermic reactions. Reactor system 1 includes reactor 3, at least one chiller 5 connected to reactor 3, at least one connected to reactor 3 and/or specified at least one cooler 5 pump 7 for circulating at least part of the heat-transfer fluid 9 and connected to reactor 3 and/or said at least one cooler 5, reservoir 11 for receiving heat-transfer fluid 9, which is connected via drain pipes 17a, 17b to the lowest point of reactor 3 and/or specified at least one cooler 5, while reservoir 11 is located below reactor 3 and/or the specified at least one cooler 5, reservoir 11 is at least partially located below the floor level, and the volume of reservoir 11 is 10 % higher than the volume of heat-transfer fluid 9 theoretically contained in reactor 3 and/or at least one indicated cooler 5.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of safe handling of a heat transfer fluid having an elevated temperature.
