FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of a rubber composition characterized by high transparency, toughness and heat resistance. Composition contains a neodymium catalyzed isoprene rubber (IR) component in an amount of from 5 to 95 mass parts and a rubber (RB) polymer component selected from the group: butadiene rubber (BR), 1,2-polybutadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), provided that the total amount of IR and RB polymers is 100 parts by weight. Composition is free from silicon dioxide and is characterized by turbidity, less than 20 % in relation to a sheet with a thickness of 2 mm, and a hardness of Durometer type A (0 sec), amounting to approximately 30 or more. Neodymium-catalyzed isoprene rubber has a cis isomer content of 95 % or more and includes approximately 10,000 ppm or less of iron or lithium.
EFFECT: composition provides excellent transparency, durability and heat resistance.
