Transparent crosslinked rubber composition substantially free of silica in its composition includes 45 to 95 parts by weight of isoprene rubber with a low content of cis-units and a rubber polymer component selected from the group, provided that the total amount of isoprene rubber and the rubber polymer component is 100 parts by weight. Low-cis-isoprene rubber and the rubber polymer component are cross-linked with one or more crosslinking agents selected from radical-type cross-linking agents and peroxides.
