FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemical technology, and also relates to a pure method for the production of chloroformyl substituted benzene. Pure process for the preparation of chloroformyl substituted benzene, comprising the steps of: step 1 – reacting a methyl aromatic hydrocarbon of the formula (X)aC6H6-a-b(CH3)b or its side alkyl chloride with chlorine gas under illumination to produce trichloromethyl-substituted benzene and produce hydrogen chloride by-product, where X represents a chlorine, bromine atom, and a is an integer selected from 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, b is an integer selected from 1, 2, 3, and 4, and a+b≤6, and the methyl aromatic side alkyl chloride refers to the compound, where the hydrogen atoms of the side alkyl group in the methyl aromatic compound are not completely replaced by chlorine atoms, while the illumination has a wavelength of the light source of about 350–700 nm and an amplitude of light of no more than about 200 nm, and the supply of chlorine gas starts at about 0–85 °C reaction temperature and lighting from about 2,000 lux to about 55,000 lux, wherein the reaction temperature is at most about 120 °C when illuminated; and the amount of chlorine gas remaining after the reaction is supplied at a higher reaction temperature until the reaction is completed; stage 2 – further reaction of trichloromethyl-substituted benzene obtained in stage 1 with water or the corresponding aromatic acid of formula (X)aC6H6-a-b(COOH)b to obtain chloroformyl substituted benzene and to obtain a by-product of hydrogen chloride, the corresponding aromatic acid means that the substituent in the original aromatic acid core and the substituent in the initial nucleus of methyl aromatic hydrocarbon or its side alkyl chloride are located in the same substitution position or in the corresponding substitution positions, and where X represents a chlorine, bromine or fluorine atom, and is an integer selected from 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, b is an integer selected from 1, 2, 3 and 4, and a+b≤6; stage 3 - subjecting the gas stream containing hydrogen chloride from stages 1 and 2 to catalytic oxidation; stage 4 – separation of the gaseous product stream from stage 3 to produce gas streams containing chlorine, oxygen and/or hydrogen chloride; and stage 5 – the introduction of a gas stream containing chlorine, separated in stage 4, as a feedstock in the chlorination reaction in stage 1.
EFFECT: present invention provides a pure method for the preparation of chloroformyl substituted benzene polymer grade.
