IMPROVED HARD POLYURETHANE AND POLYISOCYANURATE FOAMS ON BASIS OF SIMPLE POLYESTER-POLYOLS MODIFIED BY FATTY ACID Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC C08G18/36 C08G18/48 C08G18/50 C08G63/12

Abstract RU 2676323 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a process for the preparation of rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams. This method includes interaction of at least one polyisocyanate (A), at least one fatty acid modified polyether polyol (B), at least one polyether polyol produced by reacting at least one polyol as a starter with an alkylene oxide (C), if necessary, one or more polyols (D), that differ from the polyols of components (B) and (C), if necessary, one or more flame retardants (E), one or more blowing agents (F), one or more catalysts (G) and, if necessary, auxiliary substances and/or additives (H). Component (B) has a functionality of 2.5 to 8 and contains at least one reaction product of 15 to 63 % by weight of one or more polyols with an average functionality of 2.5 to 8 (B1), 2 to 30 % by weight of one or more fatty acids and/or fatty acid monoesters (B2) and 35 to 83 % by weight of one or more alkylene oxides with 2–4 carbon atoms (B3). At least one polyol of component (C) is selected from compounds with OH functionality 2-3 and the weight percentage of ethylene oxide in the total weight of the alkylene oxide in component (C) is at least 90 % by weight.

EFFECT: foams obtained by this method have good storage stability and low viscosity, and also have a sufficiently long start time.
