FIELD: sport; medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sports medicine, and in particular to methods for evaluating the rower's competitive activity, and can be used in the practice of training and competitive processes. To do this, using a video camera in the boat race, carry out side video filming of a rower, who overcomes dimensional segments: the first – 0–250 m, the second – 250–500 m, the third – 500–750 m, the fourth – 750–1,000 m of the competitive distance. Image is transmitted to a computer monitor, recording information in the form of video files, which are then visually analyzed. At the moment of immersion of the blade the oars are fixed in water: at the start – the first point, at the moment of passing the 250th meter of the first dimensional segment of the distance – the second point, at the time of passing the 500th meter of the next measured segment of the distance – the third point, at the time of passing the 750th meter – the fourth point, at the time of passing the 1000th meter – the fifth point. Then, for each dimensional segment of the competition distance, the number of strokes and the pace of rowing are determined in absolute values, the speed of movement of the canoe and the length of the rolled canoe are calculated. After that, the absolute values of the indicators are converted into points in accordance with table 1 given in the description, and the integral indicator is determined for each dimensional segment of the competition distance using the original calculation formula.

EFFECT: method provides an objective assessment of the competitive activity of the rowers on a canoe due to the remote indicator, which allows to compare with it the rowers of various sports qualifications or to calculate the changes of this indicator during training cycles.
