FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for the surgical treatment of a metaepiphysial fracture of the metacarpal bone of the hand. Reposition and intramedullary osteosynthesis are performed. For osteosynthesis, a needle, modeled by its double bending in length with the formation of three parts, is used. Length of the middle part should correspond to the length of the bone-cerebral canal of the damaged metacarpal bone. One of the end parts should be 1–2 mm shorter than the middle part. Other end part should be 3–5 mm longer than the middle part. In the projection of the base of the metacarpal bone, on the back surface of the hand, a skin incision of 1.5–2.5 cm is made. Through the base of the metacarpal bone, its bone-cerebral canal is drilled along the entire length up to the diameter, which makes it possible to push the modeled tri-folded needle through it. Simulated needle is pushed through the formed extended bone-cerebral canal from the side containing the free end of the shortened end portion to the level of the fracture. Closed reposition of fragments is performed. Modeled needle is pushed to the level of the metacarpophalangeal joint. Free end of the elongated end portion is bent at an angle of 90° and driven into the metacarpal bone.

EFFECT: method provides an earlier restoration of the hand function in full with adequate fixation of the zone of metaepiphysial fracture of the metacarpal bone of the hand.
