METHOD OF CORRECTING OSTEOTOMY OF A SHORT TUBULAR BONE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2651893 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedics, and is intended for use in the surgical treatment of the effects of injuries to the musculoskeletal system. Surgical access to deformed bone, its osteotomy with correction of angular and rotational deformations and fixation by the plate, wound suturing are performed. In this case, through the top of the deformation of the bone in the sagittal plane, the Kirschner wire is drawn at an angle of 80–90° to the distal fragment. Through the top of the deformation of the bone, parallel to the wire, a V-shaped osteotomy is performed, leaving a bone bridge between fragments 0.5–1 mm wide at the apex of the deformation angle. Each of the osteotomy lines in the frontal plane is positioned at an angle of 35–40° to the longitudinal axis of the bone, so that the cutting line in the sagittal plane passes vertically at an angle of 80–90° to the distal fragment. Through the wire remaining in the distal fragment, one of the apertures of the plate is passed through and fixed with one cortical screw its distal edge to the distal fragment. Perform a reposition of fragments, accompanied by osteoclasis, with the removal of the angular, rotational deformations and bone shortening. Finish fixing the plate with screws in the proximal and distal bone fragments with the implementation of compression between them.

EFFECT: method allows to reduce the number of complications, to shorten the periods of immobilization and to improve the results of treatment of patients with posttraumatic deformities of tubular bones.
