SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to internal combustion engines (ICE). Engine is designed to efficiently convert energy during the combustion of gases into mechanical energy. Proposed internal combustion engine containing cylinders with pistons connected to the rods, which are connected with connecting rods, crank mechanism, fuel injection nozzles, gas distribution mechanism for air intake and gas release in the top cover of each cylinder, combustion chamber in each cylinder, electronic control unit, sensors, high pressure hydraulic accumulator, high pressure fuel pump. ICE is equipped with a high pressure pump for working fluid 24, lower covers in cylinders with seals for rods and windows for drainage or supply of working fluid, accumulator-distributor of working fluid 19 between cylinders, pipelines 17 between lower cylinder covers and accumulator-distributor of working fluid 19, inserts 18 in pipelines 17 for control moving elements and springs for regulating the cross section of control pipelines. Control moving elements made with the possibility of overlapping pipelines. Internal combustion engine contains a hydraulic compensator 21 connected by pipe 20 to the accumulator-distributor of working fluid 19. Also proposed methods of operation of the internal combustion engine.
