FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for reducing intensity of turbulence in flows with rotation up to its complete elimination and can be used in the processing of liquid metals and melts, for example, by centrifugal casting of metals and alloys, as well as by growing single crystals from liquid melts and solutions. To eliminate turbulence in the currents between two rotating coaxially arranged rotation bodies, a mechanical action is applied to the external rotation body, providing modulation of the angular velocity of rotation of the body in time along a sinusoidal dependence with respect to the mean nonzero value with the fulfillment of the ratio fm<0.1fr, where fm – modulation frequency, fr – the average frequency of rotation of the body.
EFFECT: achieved when using the proposed technical solution is the complete elimination of the turbulence of the flow and transfer it to the laminar flow mode.
