FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of large-sized optical parts and can be used in shaping and controlling optical surfaces, such as mirrors of ground-based and space-based telescopes, including composite and ultra-thin mirrors of adaptive optical systems. Device comprises a housing with an installed system for unloading a mirror based on it, located on the periphery of a mirror based in the frame, it is provided with an additional unloading system placed in the housing from the outside of the mirror surface, made in the form of a base, on the working side of which are membrane-pneumatic elements that can be contacted with the non-working surface of the mirror, and the implementation of force on the outside surface of the mirror by actuators, driven in reciprocating movement along their axes by means of software-controlled drives mounted on the back side of the base.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows to improve the accuracy of forming the surface of large-sized optical parts.
