FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: load-gripping device (LGD) is intended and can be used for transportation of large-size mirrors of telescopes with a central hole. LGD comprises central bearing plate with loop for lifting crane, three traverses pivotally suspended in tops of bearing plate, each traverse has two external bearing tie rods and one inner tie rod installed in vertices of traverse for lifting mirror. Tie rods can turn about vertical axis for input and output of load-carrying sites of tie-rods under the mirror and from the mirror. On each cross-arm there is a manual drive of its rotation connected to the internal tie-rod with a flywheel and a fixing screw, and at the bottom of the cross-arm there is a place for suspension of the tie-rod with a load for testing the LGD. Each traverse is equipped with a load for balancing it in a horizontal position.
EFFECT: maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the shape of the polished working surface of the mirror, improving the reliability of the transportation process.
