FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of powder metallurgy, in particular to the preparation of antifriction materials from metal powders, and can be used for the manufacture of friction units of highly loaded parts of various mechanisms. Method of obtaining antifriction powder material includes the preparation of the initial mixture containing 14–16 wt. % of composite powder ferroaluminide, consisting of an iron core (66 wt. %) and ferroaluminide (Fe2Al5) shell (34 wt. %) with dispersion of 60–70 microns, 9–11 wt. % of lead powder ≤ 40 microns and copper – the rest, rolling the mixture at a pressure of 400–500 MPa, sintering at a temperature of 720–750 °C in an atmosphere of hydrogen for 15–30 minutes and cooling in the same atmosphere with the furnace.
EFFECT: invention provides improved strength properties and resistance to contact destruction of antifriction powder material.
