FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular, to production of items from composite materials on the basis of copper matrices used as antifriction elements of sliding bearings. The initial mixture is prepared, containing a copper powder or a copper-based melt with particle size of 30-100 mcm and quasi-crystalline nanopowder of Al-Cu-Fe system, and mechanical alloying is carried out to produce composite granules, every of which contains a matrix on the basis of copper strengthened with quasi-crystals. Granules are pressed at the temperature of 150-800°C and pressure of 350-500 MPa, and then extrusion is carried out.
EFFECT: produced item has high strength and tribological properties.
