SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport engineering. In the first embodiment, a hood stop assembly comprises a receptacle, a stop, a shaft, a locking member and a release. Stop includes a shaft, a locking member and a release. Shaft is located in an opening. Locking member comprises a wedge lock tooth. According to the second embodiment, the hood stop assembly comprises a receptacle, a stop and a spring. Inside the opening of the receptacle there is a first part of a linear ratchet. Stop comprises a head at the upper end and a second part of a linear ratchet. In the third embodiment, the hood stop assembly comprises a head for supporting the hood of the vehicle and a branch connected to the shaft and comprising a plurality wedge lock teeth. Method of mounting the vehicle hood to the carrier frame includes steps of connecting the receptacle to the carrier frame, inserting the shaft into the receptacle and engaging the first part and the second part of the linear ratchet.
