FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing catalysts based on activated carbons and catalytic additives in the form of aqueous solutions of transition metals and can be used in individual and collective respiratory protection devices to remove toxic chemicals from waste gases, mainly phosphine (PH3). Activated carbon is impregnated with mono-salt aqueous solutions of zinc acetate, ammonium (III) oxalatochromate and ammonium (II) oxalate-cuprate, which are taken with a concentration of 0.7–0.9 g/l Zn, 0.5–0.7 g/l Cr, 1.0–1.2 g/l Cu, respectively. Impregnation with mono-salt solutions is carried out repeatedly to ensure the mass ratio of oxides in the resulting catalyst ZnO : Cr2O3 : CuO = 1:1.5–2.8:13.8–24.5. After each impregnation with the mono-salt solution, the coal is dried at a temperature of 120–140 °C for 20–30 minutes. After the last drying of the coal, it is calcined at a temperature of 260–295 °C.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a catalyst that contains a reduced number of metal-containing additives and does not contain toxic components, while the protective action on phosphine during the two cleaning cycles averages 160 minutes.
