FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: holographic gun sight forms an image hologram of the reticle and for this purpose comprises integrated grating and filtering device, consisting of a base substrate, transparent substrate, separated from the base substrate, a first epoxy coating between the substrates in contact with the base substrate. First epoxy coating comprises an outer surface having a series of surface elements formed thereon, a reflective coating in contact with the outer surface of the first epoxy coating and configured to deflect light in the direction of the hologram, a coloured epoxy coating between the reflective coating and the transparent substrate. Coloured epoxy coating is provided to prevent the reflection of at least a portion of the light towards the hologram. Holographic sight also comprises a laser diode for emitting a beam of light and a collimator.
EFFECT: providing a clear and stable image of the reticle without distortion due to the exclusion of unwanted exposure to unfiltered ambient light, reduction of negative effects, such as "glare", without increasing the size of the sight itself.
