SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mobile communication system, in particular to the modulation and encoding scheme selection and configuration. Device of the user equipment (UE) contains one or more data storage devices for the modulation data storage, showing: the modulation data first group and the modulation data second group. Device of the user equipment also contains one or more processors, functionally connected to one or more data storage devices and configured to: determine, which group should be used from the modulation data first group and from the modulation data second group, based at least partially on: a parameter of a level higher than the physical layer; radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) used for the cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambling; and the downlink control information (DCI) message distinguishing feature; and coming from the cellular base station message processing using the specific one group from the modulation data first group and the modulation data second group.

EFFECT: disclosed are the modulation and encoding scheme selection and configuration systems and methods.
