FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the device for damping rolling stock, in particular to the friction wedges of bogies of railway cars. Friction wedge contains the lower base, the inclined and vertical bearing surfaces. Lower base rests on a set of suspension springs. Vertical support surface engages with the vertical support surface of the side frame. Inclined surface contains two inclined walls that engage with the bolster. Angle between the inclined walls is 150–178°.
EFFECT: increased service life of the bolster and friction wedges is achieved.
