FIELD: machine building; data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the compressor's surge point prediction method. Method includes steps of: a plurality of grids generation, a plurality of grids assembling, setting boundary conditions of the computing area, setting the atmospheric pressure conditions at the nozzle outlet section end area, calculating the flow along the compressor and calculating of the mass flow rate at the compressor inlet and the compressor pressure ratio, verification of the numerical stability predetermined limit achievement, and if the numerical stability limit is not reached, then: reducing the nozzle outlet section end area size, re-generating of the compressor discharge grid, repetition of the atmospheric pressure setting stages on the nozzle outlet section end area, the calculation stage and the said verification stage; if the numerical stability limit is reached, then the method stops and the compressor's surge point is predicted as the point corresponding to the set speed on the compressor map and the last calculated mass flow rate at the compressor inlet and the compressor pressure ratio.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the surge prediction automation in the gas compressor performance by the CFD calculation.
