SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to dredging machines, namely to a tooth and an adapter. Tooth is attached to the shoulder of a cutting head in a dredging machine through an adapter. Tooth comprises a front wear part and a rear connecting part, which includes a main body. Main body has a rear free end and a front end, a first upper surface, a first lower surface, and two side surfaces connecting both the upper and lower surfaces, the lateral protrusions, and upper and lower segments. Distance between the first upper surface and the first lower surface decreases towards the rear free end. Each side surface of the main body has a lateral protrusion with a second upper surface parallel to the second lower surface of the protrusion, and the second upper surface of each lateral protrusion is approximately parallel to the lower segment adjacent to the rear free end on the first lower surface. Second lower surface of the lateral protrusion is approximately parallel to the upper segment adjacent to the rear free end on the first upper surface. Distance between the second upper surface and the second lower surface of the protrusions is less than the distance between the upper segment and the lower segment of the main body.

EFFECT: high tooth stability in the adapter.
