SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to aldehyde-based polymer compositions suitable as a binder or adhesive. Proposed is a polymer composition containing a polymer based on aldehyde, obtained by the reaction of one or more hydroxyl aromatic and/or one or more amino functional compounds (I) selected from the group including phenol, resorcin, cresol, phloroglucin, melamine, urea, thiourea and substituted and/or functionalized phenols, with one or more aldehyde functional compounds (II) selected from formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, one or more reducing sugars (III), selected from the group consisting of glucose, mannose, glycolaldehyde, glyceraldehyde, erythrose, threose, ribose, arabinose, xylose, lyxose, allose, altrose, gulose, idose, galactose, talose, dihydroxyacetone, erythrulose, ribulose, xylulose, fructose, psicose, sorbose, tagatose, sedoheptulose, glucoheptose, mannoheptose, mannoheptulose, thaloheptulose, alloheptulose, aldose, ketose, or their combinations, or a reducing sugar in the form of carbohydrate raw materials with the volume properties of a reducing sugar and a dextrose equivalent (DE) value of at least 15, where (DE) is defined as the percentage reducing ability of carbohydrate raw materials relative to the reducing ability of glucose, dicyandiamide (IV), where reducing sugar (III) compounds and cyanamide (IV) are added before or during the specified reaction and/or after the specified reaction, moreover, the composition has ultra-low formaldehyde emission during curing and from the cured product and can be used as a binder or glue in the manufacture of products from mineral wool, nonwovens, wood panels, plywood, products made of coated and/or impregnated materials. Proposed is a method for manufacturing this composition, including the steps of obtaining an aldehyde-based polymer by reacting one or more hydroxyl aromatic compounds selected from phenol, resorcin, and/or one or more amino functional compounds selected from melamine, urea (I) with one or more aldehyde functional compounds (II) selected from formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, and characterized in that reducing sugar (III) and cyanamide (IV) compounds are added before or during this reaction and/or after this reaction.
EFFECT: proposed new compositions based on aldehyde with ultra-low release of aldehyde, a new method for their production and their use for creating new impregnating compositions for impregnating mineral wool, nonwoven materials, wood panels, plywood.
