METHOD OF REDUCING FORMALDEHYDE EMISSION FROM MINERAL FIBROUS ARTICLE AND MINERAL FIBROUS ARTICLE WITH REDUCED EMISSION OF FORMALDEHYDE Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC C03C25/34 C08J5/04 C08K7/04 C08L61/00 C08L3/02 A62D3/33

Abstract RU 2591951 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of reducing formaldehyde release from mineral fibrous article and to connected mineral fibrous articles, having low release of formaldehyde. Method of reducing formaldehyde release from mineral fibrous article, connected by urea-modified phenol-formaldehyde resol resin-type binder, involves administration of dextrose in binding composition after making binding composition, but before hardening binding composition applied on mineral fibres.

EFFECT: use of dextrose results in considerable reduction of release of formaldehyde from connected mineral fibre articles, which cannot be explained pure effect of dilution.
