FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of research devices for tightness and can be used to test the tightness of the pipe liner. Essence: liner tube (13) is tested for tightness before reversion, after a broach through support tube (11) to be lined with compression ring (21), and when a tension force acts on liner tube (13). If the pipe of liner (13) shows a leakage, it can be removed from the pipe before it expands to make contact with carrier pipe (11). Leak test device contains a packer that seals the end of the liner tube opposite the end, for which it is pulled, creating a closed volume of fluid that is tested for tightness. Leak test may be a pressure or vacuum test, or another suitable test.
EFFECT: fast and effective field integrity testing of the liner tube, allowing for quick removal and replacement of the liner tube in the event of a fault.
