SUBSTANCE: protection device (300) against especially temporary overvoltages from the air, comprises housing (310) with two parallel lateral main sides in which there is at least one varistor connected to a thermal shutdown device, a discharger, as well as electrical wires (F1, F2, F3, FN), respectively, connected to each varistor and to the discharger, wherein part of said electrical wires goes outside the housing for connection to the switch terminals. Protective device comprises base (410) made of electrically insulating material, separated from said housing and comprising holding means, interacting with said electrical wires to hold each electrical wire in a certain position, and mounting means (415, 415A, 417, 417A) for fastening said base to circuit breaker (200).
EFFECT: technical result is to facilitate wiring between the device and the corresponding switch, while the base forms an insulating casing that protects the electrical wires.
