The unit contains two electrical connection elements; the overvoltage protection component electrically connected to two electrical connection elements, the temperature of which rises in the presence of overvoltage; the locking element in contact with the overvoltage protection component; the mechanical interrupter coupled to the locking element mounted in series between one of the two electrical connection elements and the overvoltage protection component, the locking member retaining the interrupter in the closed position.
