FIELD: fuel combustion methods and devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering. Method of combustion of hydrocarbon feedstock (13) by redox chemical looping in which a redox active composition in particulate form flows between oxidation zone (200) and reduction zone (210) to form a circuit, wherein hydrocarbon feedstock (13) is combusted by contacting with particles of the redox active composition in reduction zone (210); particles of the redox-active composition leaving reduction zone (210) are oxidised by bringing into contact with a stream of oxidising gas (11) in oxidation zone (200); the particles are fed to at least one heat exchanger (E1) positioned on particle conveying line (15, 16, 17, 18) between reduction zone (210) and oxidation zone (200), and liquefying gas is directed to said heat exchanger to create a dense fluidised bed containing particles of the active composition, wherein said heat exchanger has a heat exchange surface in contact with the fluidised bed; heat recovery in at least one heat exchanger (E1) is controlled by varying the level of the fluidised bed by controlled creation of a pressure drop at the outlet of the liquefying gas located in the upper part of the heat exchanger, wherein the created pressure drop is compensated for by varying the level of the layer of particles of the active composition in the collector zone located on the particle circuit in the chemical cycle.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the reliability of controlling heat transfer, controlling the operating parameters of the process, controlling the amount of heat transferred during heat exchange with the active composition circulating in the chemical loop.
