FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of processing waste tires, in particular the solid carbon-containing residue of pyrolysis of tires. Obtained refined solid carbon-containing residue can be used as sorbents, pigment paints, dyeing powder for office equipment, high-capacity capacitors and ionizers, reinforcing material in the rubber industry, smokeless fuel. Method of refining the solid residue of pyrolysis of tires is that the solid residue of pyrolysis is calcined at the temperature of 700–850 °C in the absence of oxygen of the air until the complete cessation of gas extraction processes takes place.

EFFECT: invention allows to improve the quality of the solid carbon-containing residue of pyrolysis of tires, reduce the yield of volatile substances, and also remove unpleasant toxic odor and improve the ecological situation in the regions.
