SUBSTANCE: invention relates to quick-release brackets for mounting bipods and lanterns on Kalashnikov assault rifles. Bracket includes a housing with grooves in front and behind for installation between the T-shaped tides of the vapor tube and the sighting device, a latch with a leaf spring and a thrust washer. One of the versions of the bracket allows to set the turntable with mounting elements of a bipod or lantern. Another version of the bracket is made with non-rotating V-shaped protrusions for mounting bipods or ring clamps for a flashlight, or Picatinny rail, or a dovetail rail.
EFFECT: technical result is a reduction in the time required to prepare a Kalashnikov assault rifle for the installation of a bipod or lantern.
