FIELD: cosmonautics ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for cleaning near-Earth environment from space debris (SD). In the cleaned region of space, a spacecraft is launched with self-expanding autonomous mobile networks equipped with controlled maneuverable engines and means of (electro)magnetic retention of SD. At the required moment, the networks open up, and the sensors installed on them, in the case of the capture of SD fragments, transmit information about these fragments to the control panel. Latter generates a command to close the network or another method (for example, electromagnetic) fixing the fragments of the SD and the inclusion of maneuverable engines to perform a debris de-orbiting maneuver.
EFFECT: technical result consists in expanding the operational capabilities and the range of removed SD fragments.
