SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space technology. The apparatus for cleaning up space debris includes a jet engine, an energy module and a garbage collector. The garbage collector contains a trap, which is a container in the form of an ellipsoid with windows for unloading and a system of solenoids that draw in garbage, distributed over the entire surface of the ellipsoid. The trap contains electromagnets that stabilize the chaotic movement of debris in the trap.
EFFECT: ensuring efficient cleaning of space debris.
